Our yard is a war zone

We are having our back yard landscaped so that Daphne will have a great place to play next year when she is able to walk. Our house backs up to the greenbelt around Bull Creek, so when we bought the house the back yard was basically a slope that went down into the woods. It was basically just full of dirt and cactus (cacti?) with a small fenced area for dogs to use as a toilet. Sounds nice, huh?

Don't get me wrong, we love the house and the surroundings are pretty, but the back yard wasn't very useable.

Starting at the top, here are two pictures of the yard before anything was done and then some of the war zone that it has turned into in the past week. Starting on Monday they built a huge stone retaining wall (I think he said they were using 20 tons of stone or something crazy like that!?), then they cleared all the existing plants and a few cedar trees, then a huge truck brought enough dirt to raise the yard several feet, then they dug trenches for irrigation and a water feature and outlined where the patio will go.
I know the final product will be great, but it is such a mess right now and Daphne is having trouble napping with bulldozers, dump trucks and chainsaws making noise all day. She will appreciate it when the yard is finished, though!
