Wow! I can't believe it is already the first weekend of August and Daphne is already almost 3 1/2months old. I am starting this blog in order to have a place to post news about our family and pictures of Daphne. My vision of it is a place where family and friends can check out what is going on with us without me having to inundate you all with pictures and e-mails saying , "Look how stinking cute our kid is!". Feel free to check in any time. I will do my best to be good about posting updates, but I am still getting this whole stay-at-home mommy schedule down so please give me some grace. How is it that I am busier now than when I had a full-time job outside the house? Friends told me it would be that way but I didn't really believe them.
This picture was taken a little over a week after Daphne was born. It was taken at my parents' house when we drove there for a Mothers' Day luncheon. It was Daphne's first trip outside of Austin and my first Mothers' Day as a mother. Even though she couldn't hold a pen and her eyesight was limited, somehow Daphne made me an adorable card saying thanks for taking care of her. Awwwwww.........

I have had so much fun looking at these pictures. I can't wait to see more. What a cutie! I, too, remember your Mama and her Michael Jackson glove.
