I feel like a wretched, miserable failure.
It is only day 7 of our month of no spending and I had to break down and go to the store today! We were out of dog food. I tried to think of resourceful ideas for feeding the dogs without buying food, but I don't have the energy to cook for two dogs every day and I don't have enough supplies to make sandwiches for them. I considered giving them the foul corned beef hash because it looks like something a dog would love, but sadly there was only one can. It is probably for the best, because I don't want to risk feeding them anything that might cause gastro-intestinal problems. I have enough nasty situations around here with the baby.
I was also almost out of baby food, so I bought fruit and veggies to make my own. I haven't made it before, but Amanda gave me a lesson one time and it seems pretty simple if you have mastered the art of using a blender.
Other than food for the baby and dogs, we haven't faltered on our experiment in cheapness. We almost had a break down when Bryan was having terrible allergies and we were traveling and forgot to bring his allergy medicine, but luckily we were able to borrow some. Crisis averted through mooching.
I'll let you know how the baby food turns out!

I am pretty sure it is excused to buy food for Daphne and the dogs. Gotta take care of the babies.
hey lynsey!
not sure if you are looking for a good carrot soup recipie, but Kristen Gilson was telling us about one last night at small group. It sounded pretty easy and contained ingredients that you likley already have on hand. She said it was AWESOME! I would recommend hitting her up for the recipie, as I cannot seem to remember everything she said it called for....
I believe DeDe needs to come take you out for dinner Wednesday before I leave for Buffalo. We could even get some take home for Bryan, if he can't make it. That's not cheating, as I am surely one of God's resources for you. Mom
